Let’s Go to Denmark

Brief:
The goal for this project was to create a booklet showcasing various infographics that presented statistics and information about a country that was not America.
Conceptualization:
Visually, I wanted to create something that represented or could relate in some way to Denmark. As I was researching Danish design, I found that the Danes are known for their minimalism, and I decided to represent that by creating a minimalist design for the book. For the color palette, I wanted to use the colors of the Danish flag, and then use black and gray as well.
Execution:
This project really challenged me to work with minimalism, as it’s not really a design aesthetic that I prefer working with. I learned that with this project, the best way to create minimalist design that is eye catching throughout is to experiment with type layout.
